Black Friday Is Coming !

October is almost over. Halloween is coming up and shortly after that Thanksgiving, one of the most awaited holidays here in America. Although we really cannot wait for the Thanksgiving to come, I am sure that most of us are actually looking forward for the day after Thanksgiving, which is the Black Friday. Thus, knowing me, I am not going to wake up at five in the morning just to go to the store and stand in line for hours waiting for the store to open up so just to take advantage of the huge markdowns on a lot of products.

Why would we do such, if we can do it online? All we needed to do is just visit iBlackFriday.com to see what is on their bfads, even weeks in advance. That way, we will be able to make our Christmas shopping list so we know what we needed to buy on Black Friday. They would even send us email alerts as soon as there are newly posted black Friday ads.

Anyway, I have a few items on my holiday shopping list already. For the little boy, I would like to get him some more good books that he could use to practice on his reading. I am sure I will be seeing many amazon.com deals, so I plan to get those books there. For hubby, I think I will be getting him a new GPS, the latest one that I saw on the Circuit City ad, the one with pedestrian mode. For me, however, I have not decided yet. As long as I can get tons of online coupons through iBlackFriday.net, I will be a happy shopper. By the way, be sure to join iBlackFriday.com’s email notification list to be the first to know when new bfads are added.

What Did I Do Today?

What did I do today? October 28th, 2008...Hmmmm... I did a few opps, clean up the house a little bit. Washed some bedsheets, kulet'z clothing... I did not cook dinner except kulet'z burger and reheated some of his mac and cheese... made hubby sandwiches, I baked some Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert though.

What did I do on the 28th of October 1998? Ten years ago to be exact....Let me check...Nothing really special... as per my diary, it only says there that "A" called twice but I wasn't able to talk to him...darn!...stayed late in the office....chatted with 86 and htache... Wow! I wonder how 86 and htache are doing now :)

Windy Day

Wow it is starting to get really, really cold here. Yesterday was a very windy day. I can hear the wheezing sound of the wind all day. My Kuletz enjoyed watching the trees swaying back and forth cause of the strong wind. According to the news, we will be experiencing a winter like weather in the coming days...Bring it on!!! ooopppsss sorry guys, I know a lot of you hate winter cause of the difficulty in driving. Sorry mother nature, I'm not trying to challenge you or anything, but I just love seeing the freshly fallen, untouched snowflakes :)

Mustela For Sensitive Skin

My son has been suffering from eczema since he was 3 months old. Although eczema is a very common condition, it has said to be rarely curable, which is the very frustrating part. Detergents, rough clothing, scented soaps, and the change of weather are some of the things that trigger my son's eczema. We have used different types of creams, which would work for a while and then it would not on his next flare-up. To this day, we are still looking/experimenting for something that will work great on his very sensitive skin, something that will work not just for a month or two, but also for a long time.

A friend told me about Mustela, which I immediately checked because my son is starting to scratch his skin again (it was triggered by the change of weather). I am interested in their Stelatopia products, particularly the Stelatopia Cream Cleanser, and the Stelatopia Moisturizing cream. I think these products are going to be a perfect combination that he can use for his daily hygiene. The cleanser, which he can use for his regular shower and bath, is soap-free and contains non-irritating formula, while the moisturizing cream will restructure, nourish, and protect his sensitive skin from future flare-ups.

Mustela is not just for babies but for moms as well. Visit mustelausa.com to learn more about all their products and get some good tips and advice from their parent’s corner.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everybody!

The other night we went to the grocery store and at the last minute hubby asked me to get a good size pumpkin. Then when we got home, he immediately sat down and start carving the pumpkin. This was the end result. My son got so excited he even went to bed with the pumpkin next to him. :)

Shop Comfortably

In my previous post, I mentioned that I wanted a new desktop. I know it is absurd cause I checked my desktop’s receipt and it is not even 3 years old. I really don’t know what is going on with this computer; it’s just too darn slow. Maybe I need to defrag it again or something. Nevertheless, I am saving some money to either buy an additional RAM for it or might as well get the laptop computer that I want. I have been drooling to purchase a 17” HP Pavillion Laptop that I saw from ShopWiki.com. I know some of you like the 15” or 14” laptop more, but the reason why I like the 17 inch laptop is because it has a standard keyboard, which I totally need doing my data entry work.

Anyway, since I don’t want to go window-shopping from store to store, I did it online. I spent a few hours comparing Dell, HP, Toshiba, and Gateway laptop computers, their specifications, and prices using one site, ShopWiki.com. ShopWiki is a shopping search engine wherein you can find all the products from every store that is available to you. With ShopWiki, the possibilities of getting great deals are infinite! I had a great time searching from one product to another, didn’t even realize that I have been doing it for hours. The good thing though, is that I am at the comfort of my own home and I did not spend a dime on gas. You can’t beat that!

Banana Split

Last week I told my hubby that I have been craving for some banana split and donut, particularly the one from Dunkin' Donuts. I mentioned it to him at least twice and never heard a word if he's gonna buy me or what. Eventually, I forgot about it. Then the other day, he called me and asked me to open the backdoor for him. Surprisingly, he had brought home an order of Banana Split from Baskin Robbins I think and a donut from Dunkin. Yum! Yum! Sweet! :P

Men's Made-To-Measure Suits

Spending thousands of dollars for a custom suit is very common to public figures like movie actors, sports stars, or politicians especially when they are attending red carpet events in their respective fields. Famous designers made most of their suits so you know how expensive those can be.

For regular people like my husband, a designer mens’ suit is not an option. He cannot afford it. However, there is a great alternative to that, a Made to measure suit from MySuitNY.com. This will save him a lot of time rather than browsing all day through the store’s off-the-rack suits, which are either too big or too small for him. With MySuitNY.com, he will get a tailored suit that is made to his exact measurements for a price that starts at $495.00. A single button jacket with lapel, flat panel with coin pocket pants using a premiere fine fabric, 100% wool black herringbone is an excellent choice. I am about to drag my husband and see if he would like to schedule an appointment because he is very finicky when it comes to suits.

Anyways, for those men out there who are interested in getting a perfectly made suit, simply visit MySuitNY.com and fill-out their free online scheduler to make an appointment to be measured. Do not be intimated if you have not had a made-to-measure suit before because a consultant will guide you through the process, from measuring to styling and fabric selection. They have 40 years of manufacturing and retail experience using great technology and fine craftsmanship, so with their custom made suits; you will sure look like a million bucks!

It Caught Up On Me

I haven't been feeling so very good lately. I guess the lack of sleep last month is catching up on me. I did a lot of data entry then and always up till 5-6 in the morning. Would sleep for 3-4 hours then back to work. My head is constantly aching. Now, all I wanted to do is sleep, sleep and sleep. I just couldn't get it together. Anyways, I think what I need to do is get as much sleep so I can recover from this thing. I guess a bowl of corn soup inspired by my late GrandMa will make me feel better.

Know Your Real Age

Do you know your real age? I am not talking about numbers here. I am talking about your biological age. Your real age might be younger or older than your birthday says. I bumped into a website wherein you can take a RealAge Test. The result is not what I wanted it to be, but here it is:

The outcome is rather older than my chronological age. I feel younger than that though. Nevertheless, this made me realize that I need to do many changes in my health and habits. Yes, I do not drink, I do not smoke, which are good, but not eating breakfast everyday, not getting enough vitamins, or not exercising can be as bad. One very interesting thing I found out in this test is that having a dog actually reduces one’s stress, because it increases your physical activities when you do things with your dog such as daily walks and playtime. Reaching out and spending time with friends can also relieve stressful circumstances.

I have learned a lot from this test and I am encouraging you as well to Take the RealAge Test! It's Free! I have invited my friends too and of course, you can do the same. We can make changes all together and live our lives to the youngest!

Warrick Is Dead!

Warrick Brown, played by Gary Dourdan on the crime drama CSI is now dead. Warrick's character has battled an addiction to pills on the said series. This has somewhat similarity to Gary's real life. He was recently booked at the Palms Spring jail on possession of narcotics and dangerous drugs. It is just sad that the original casts started leaving the show that I've loved to watch. The first one who left was Jorgia Fox and it has been told that William Petersen, playing Gil Grissom, is about to leave the show also. Sad,sad, sad. :(

Pay Per Click Advertising

I know many bloggers who have switched from using free web hosting to a paid one so to upgrade their storage capabilities, get their own emails, have their own domain name and to better their blogs. I have switched too. So far, I am contented with my web hosting company and no plans of switching anytime soon. Although I will drop them in a heartbeat as soon as I encounter even a slightest problem. Anyway, for those of you who would like a reliable web hosting company, checking networksolutions.com might be a brilliant thing to do. Network Solutions offers web hosting packages to individuals and businesses as well. They also provide website security, web design services and online marketing.

Speaking of online marketing, Pay Per Click or PPC Advertising, is also available from Network Solutions. Pay Per Click will help your online business attracts more customers and convert leads to sales. In addition, PPC will drive local traffic to your site, grow your list of contacts, and boost online orders that would ultimately increase your profits. If you would like to know more about this form of web-based marketing and the different web hosting packages that Network Solutions offers, check out networksolutions.com.

Lasik Eye Surgery

I know most of you have heard of lasik eye surgery. I just mentioned that because I am considering of undergoing the said eye treatment. I have been wearing eyeglasses for almost ten years now and I am so tired of all its hassles. Imagine how many times a day I have to clean smudges on my lenses, there are times I’d forget where I put them and have to spend a lot of time looking for it, if the screw falls off fixing it is a pain or just the fact that you have to replace it every now and then is way expensive. Oh I tried contact lenses too, but it is much more of a hassle than eyeglasses. Anyway, I think that with lasik eye surgery, my life would be easier. No eyeglasses to clean, fix or buy. I have seen a lot of satisfied people who have undergone it and said that the surgery is relatively safe and all worth it. It made their lives better. If you would like to know more informtation of lasik, please visit lalasik.com.

Baby Found In The Garbage

I was watching the news last night and was then again shocked having heard that there's a a 2-week old baby found in a pile of garbage somewhere in the Western Suburb of Chicago. The baby was wrapped in a blanket and sitting in a car seat. My goodness, thankfully it is not very cold yet and the baby is fine. I just don't understand it, why do they have to leave the baby in the garbage... I believe that here in Illinois (not sure about the other states), if you wanna give up your baby, all you have to do is to leave them either in a hospital, police or fire station with no question ask. Why in the pile of garbage? :(
