Windy Day

Wow it is starting to get really, really cold here. Yesterday was a very windy day. I can hear the wheezing sound of the wind all day. My Kuletz enjoyed watching the trees swaying back and forth cause of the strong wind. According to the news, we will be experiencing a winter like weather in the coming days...Bring it on!!! ooopppsss sorry guys, I know a lot of you hate winter cause of the difficulty in driving. Sorry mother nature, I'm not trying to challenge you or anything, but I just love seeing the freshly fallen, untouched snowflakes :)

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Everybody!

The other night we went to the grocery store and at the last minute hubby asked me to get a good size pumpkin. Then when we got home, he immediately sat down and start carving the pumpkin. This was the end result. My son got so excited he even went to bed with the pumpkin next to him. :)

Banana Split

Last week I told my hubby that I have been craving for some banana split and donut, particularly the one from Dunkin' Donuts. I mentioned it to him at least twice and never heard a word if he's gonna buy me or what. Eventually, I forgot about it. Then the other day, he called me and asked me to open the backdoor for him. Surprisingly, he had brought home an order of Banana Split from Baskin Robbins I think and a donut from Dunkin. Yum! Yum! Sweet! :P

My Halloween Costume

It is past 8 p.m. and surprisingly, there's no work at all. Nothing do to so I ended up answering quizzes again. Since it is almost Halloween and have not bought a costume for my kid and myself, I find the quiz below interesting. :D Darn! Me? Girl Scout? :P

I don't know what is going on with my computer. Since I downloaded and installed this Yahoo Messenger for Vista, it has been so slow. I deleted all the unnecessary files already and other stuff that I don't use, but it is still running slow. It keeps on either crashing or freezing. Darn! This is not even three years old. I want a new one!!! Honey, hope you can read this. :D

It Caught Up On Me

I haven't been feeling so very good lately. I guess the lack of sleep last month is catching up on me. I did a lot of data entry then and always up till 5-6 in the morning. Would sleep for 3-4 hours then back to work. My head is constantly aching. Now, all I wanted to do is sleep, sleep and sleep. I just couldn't get it together. Anyways, I think what I need to do is get as much sleep so I can recover from this thing. I guess a bowl of corn soup inspired by my late GrandMa will make me feel better.

Warrick Is Dead!

Warrick Brown, played by Gary Dourdan on the crime drama CSI is now dead. Warrick's character has battled an addiction to pills on the said series. This has somewhat similarity to Gary's real life. He was recently booked at the Palms Spring jail on possession of narcotics and dangerous drugs. It is just sad that the original casts started leaving the show that I've loved to watch. The first one who left was Jorgia Fox and it has been told that William Petersen, playing Gil Grissom, is about to leave the show also. Sad,sad, sad. :(

Baby Found In The Garbage

I was watching the news last night and was then again shocked having heard that there's a a 2-week old baby found in a pile of garbage somewhere in the Western Suburb of Chicago. The baby was wrapped in a blanket and sitting in a car seat. My goodness, thankfully it is not very cold yet and the baby is fine. I just don't understand it, why do they have to leave the baby in the garbage... I believe that here in Illinois (not sure about the other states), if you wanna give up your baby, all you have to do is to leave them either in a hospital, police or fire station with no question ask. Why in the pile of garbage? :(

Curious George is my son's recent cartoon fave. He took this picture of George while he was watching on t.v. Pretty good timing eh! I thought George here was cute. :) I guess my son said, let me snap a photo coz George looks like mommy, hanging on the computer all the time :D

Cool Day

Wow! Can't believe that it's fall already. Today is very gloomy... made me feel like staying in bed all day. But can't do that, need to check if there's some work, plus need to do household chores like wash clothes, the dishes, clean up everything in the house... wew! Just thinking about it makes me so tired already.

One Came

I have been yapping about how I have been waiting for my data entry checks in my previous posts, and today, one of 'em finally came! Wew! After almost one month of waiting. I am not sure on what's going on with this company. Rumors said that management has changed etc, but nobody knows for sure. I am just thankful that one came and it made me think that at least they are not shutting down the business. It would have been a great loss for many of us coz legit data entry jobs like them are really hard to come by.

Sweet!

I am so used to attending to the needs of my two boys here (hubby and son). Yesterday, I was so surprised with my little boy. This is what happened... I put some food in the microwave, I believe some rice and chicken afritada, set it for 1 minute and left. I actually sat down on my computer to check if there are opps available. Then heard the microwave bell. I did not stand up, I'd like to wait for a little while, but it keeps on beeping. Anyways, after hearing it beeped for, probably 5 times, I heard my little boy opened it... after two minutes or so, he came to me and gave me the plate of food, I was shocked :) then he went downstairs again and came back with a spoon... isn't that sweet?! So I tested him, I said, "could you get me a bottle of water please?" He didn't answer but walked away, after a few seconds, here comes the bottled water. I can't believe that my little boy is getting bigger and bigger, a smarty pants too and one thing is for sure, I'm getting older and older :)

Now I Can't Wait Again

Yup! Can't wait again coz the season finale of Burn Notice was split into two. The conclussion will be aired this coming Thursday and then new episodes will start in January 2009. In the meantime I will settle for some of my other faves like America's Next Top Model and Survivor Gabon (don't know when it's gonna be aired though).

Can't Wait

Can't wait for the final episode of the season of Burn Notice tonight on USA Network 9/8 CST. I'll be missing Michael Westen for a while...err guess not coz surely there's gonna be some reruns till their next season, which starts on January. Wow that's really a long time. Monk and Psych had their final episodes too... Men! It's gonna be a rerun galore. Well, I don't get tired of watching them anyways, just like Law & Order. :)

Disappointed And Upset

I am a bit disappointed and upset today because I still have not received my check from my data entry job. They used to be very good in sending out checks but lately they are always late. I'm not sure if it has something to do with our deteriorating economy or what. I'm upset because we worked our butts off to earn those and then they won't send it on time. I feel like we are just working for free. It should have been here two Mondays ago. :( Hope it comes tomorrow.

Indiana Flood

We live between the border of Illinois and Indiana. About ten steps, you are in Indiana already. Hammond and Munster that is. I feel bad to see on the news that Indiana were greatly affected by the on and off rain for the past few days. I was complaining earlier about me cleaning up the water that crawled in our basement when I should be thankful coz compared to the houses in Indiana the little water in our basement is nothing. Here's the one that I saw on youtube.com. I think we've used that expressway several times. If I can find videos of the flooded houses, I'd post it again here.

Nice Weather

After raining for a few days, it finally stopped today. I'm starting to like the weather :) It's around 60 degrees, which is not too cold, just comfy. :) I wish everyday is a 60 degree day. :D Anyways, I posted in my other blog that the sensational Charise Pempengco from the Philippines is going to be Oprah's guest on her show. It was aired early today, and I missed it! But... I'm waiting for the replay tonight at 11 CST. :) We'll see how it goes.

Woke Up Early

I went to bed at around 10:30 last night and set the alarm at 2:30 a.m. I wanted to wake up soooo early to check if I got some work. Thankfully I did, so I made a little money :) But when I am getting ready to go back to bed, my little boy woke up and started sneezing...he's nose is all clogged up... then didn't go to bed till 11 in the morning.. Now here I am again, acting like a zombie coz I'm so sleepy.

Bad Day

It wasn't a good day today here in the Chicagoland. It was raining all day. I am supposed to go to the grocery store but I didn't feel like it. I just slept all day :D I admit it wasn't good outside but it feels good to go to sleep when it's raining. It was not as hot as yesterday. Since I slept all day, I am so sure that I will be up all night :)
